Ein Stück zurück versetzt in die Zeit der Trios von Nat King Cole oder Oscar Peterson in den 40er und 50er Jahren fühlt man sich, wenn der griechische Gitarrist Iakovos Symeonidis (Foto) und seine beiden Mitstreiter loslegen. Doch dann driften Standards aus dem American Songbook ab in eigenwillige Arrangements, gemischt mit einer Prise Afro und Latin Grooves.

Back in time travels the trio together with the audience, back to the great times of jazz trios by Nat King Cole or Oscar Petersen in the 40ies and 50ies. At least for a little while. Because once the Greek guitarist Iakovos Symeonidis and his two musical companions start playing standards from the American Songbook, they gradually turn them with their own arrangements into something very modern sounding, mixed with Afro and Latin Grooves.
